Challenges make us stronger

Sunichen was a boy of 5 years. His mother remarried because the father just disappeared.

It was a very unsecure time for Sunichen.

A stepfather was rather distant. He mainly took care of his own daughter, the stepsister of Sunichen. She was occupied with her own affairs and didn’t really care about her half-brother.

His mother was always busy and didn’t have time for anybody. Not even for herself.

However, Sunichen loved school. He got good marks and was learning a lot. By nature he was quiet and stayed in the background.

The centre of his life was the small room at home. There he dreamt of a happy life with his father and best friend. Sunichen loved reading books and listening to music.

The stepfather expected more assistance from Sunichen, especially in household affairs. Sunichen did his best according to his capacity.

Once while walking near the local hill, Sunichen met a nice girl. Each time they would talk so openly to each other. After two years they got married.

The marriage was full of love, and positive and less pleasant challenges. They had no children. Each day they would cultivate their relationship. Life brought constant financial worries and health issues.

They lived in a demanding suburb. People loved to gossip around. But the couple didn’t get involved.

They rather worked hard as event organizers. As a successful team, they would prepare concerts with spiritual music. Thousands of people came and sang with joy in their hearts.

However, the profit was illegally taken by criminal leaders. Despite of his efforts, Sunichen couldn’t find a way of providing enough finances for living.

Soon, Sunichen got seriously ill. Most of time he’d just lie in the bed. His wife served him day and night to relief his pain.

Their bond was strong, simple and deep. Both were content. The couple became compassionate towards each other. They practised emotional intelligence.

Each step in their life was a prayer. They always asked God for advice. How to think, how to live, how to feel. The answers came gradually. It was that gentle feeling in the heart. Which brings us a peace.

Sunichen realized that true joy comes from within.

A person who is always dissatisfied just can’t be happy in any circumstance. Such a person can’t feel content, not even in a golden palace.

That’s why Sunichen lived with gratefulness in any situation, good or bad. Step by step he became a very joyful person. He loved to sing and cook. People liked his food preparations very much.

His heart was ful of empathy. He felt true affection towards himself and others. He liked to help. In return he expected nothing.

Sunichen became wise and modest. He transformed into an independent, responsible and authentic personality.

People loved his enthusiasm and inner positivity.

The humble Sunichen had a well- kept secret.

Literally he would think of God the whole day.

He had his beloved Lord in his heart.

There was only one goal in his life:

»How can I please my Lord?

What can I do for Him?«

Sunichen nurtured a very deep faith.

He would each moment pray to God,

think of Him and he constantly

asked his Lord for life’s orientation.

When he died, his soul returned back Home, back to Godhead. That’s the opinion of his wife and people who knew him.

Unfortunately, he left his body so early, in his blossoming life.
