IMMENSE DESIRE TO ATTAIN TRUE GOALS
Once, four brothers lived in a big house.
They were affectionate to each other but they argued amongst themselves a lot.
Although they aspired to be on friendly terms, they couldn’t help having unnecessary conflicts.
Uncle Daya then tells them that one among them was born to become a king.
It was only a matter of time before they would see his noble qualities.
Their uncle suggested that they interacted with one another as they would do with a real king.
He continued: “Pray to the Lord to subdue your conditioned habits.”
The brothers started to think about it more deeply.
Each one was wise and wanted to succeed.
Everybody was happy to know that one of the others would manifest sublime qualities.
All the brothers prayed to the Lord.
They started to appreciate each other more than ever.
They encouraged and lifted one another in daily life.
After a while, uncle Daya noticed that the brothers were becoming calmer and more refined in their dealings with each other.
He said: “Since you’ve put a big effort and love into your relationships, your hearts have melted and turned soft. Your characters have strengthened. As a result, each of you has developed qualities of a saintly king.”
What was the cause of this development?
It was because they had practiced to respect and appreciate each other more than ever.
